Kelo Connects

When I first opened the Appaloosa Journal back in 1990 I saw this amazingly colored stallion and thought one day I’d like to own something like that! I never imagined that one day Eric and I would own the great Kelo Connects. Sadly, Kelo had to euthanized due to intestinal lesions in March of 2011.

Kelo’s legend lives on through the 86 registered foals he has produced and so many of them are champions in their own right.

Kelo is a Reserve World Champion Stallion, National Champion 3 year old, Bronze Medallion winner, Superior Award winner in Halter, Several top Ten Awards and Grand Champion Halter Awards to numerous to mention. Kelo will be very much missed by myself and his buddy Eric.

Ima Kelo Cowboy

We were saddened by the loss of Kelo but ecstatic that the only foal we had by him was a colt. Simon, is by Kelo and out of the Res. Cdn. Champion and Halter Futurity winner The Cowboys Dream. Simon was bred to 6 mares in 2011 and produced 5 lovely foals. Three can be seen on our 2012 foal page. Simon has since been sold to a great breeding home and we wish them all the best for their first foal crop in 2013!

Coming Soon!!

After the loss of Kelo , Eric and I endeavored to find a Kelo offspring that exemplified his quality, color and breeding. We found a grandson with an amazing background boasting the bloodlines of some of the greatest appaloosa stallions in the history of the breed. Horses such as The Quest, Dreamfinder, Impressive Andrew, Mighty Tim, Just Shockin Y’all, Mighty Tim, Prince Plaudit and more! This colt is only a yearling and will be shown until he is ready to breed. We are very excited to have this young man in our program and can hardly wait for those first babies!
